All those who have an interest in participating in this unique outreach are encouraged to attend this planning meeting. Your time, talent, and or treasures are greatly needed in making the event a success. October 26, 2019 is the date of the event. Help in manning the event will be needed on that evening starting at around 5 pm. Short time commitments are available to ease the stress and burden upon all while maximizing fun and the Kingdom work taking place. Find out more »Sunday, October 13th, all church members are asked to be in attendance as we collect commitments of financial resources from individuals and families. We have been asked to bring our "loaves and fishes" for the benefit of the Church, and pray that God will bless these offerings and provide for Cornerstone Christian Church abundantly. Cornerstone Christian Church is seeking to expand its ministries and outreach at this time. After prayerful consideration, it has been determined by the leadership, with the approval of the congregation, that relocation to a new facility is prudent to help facilitate the future of Cornerstone. Commitment cards will be available to all members and friends of the Church who wish to participate in Cornerstone's vision. Commitments should be based on a three year forecast of giving to this purpose, and the amount committed should be that portion which is above the tithe or normal giving by the individual or family. Current giving levels must be maintain to support our daily activities, salaries, and missions work we are presently doing. All funds given to the general fund are split 50/50 with half going to the operation of the church and half going directly to the mission field as our missions committee directs. Commitments and funds designated to the facilities fund will be directed 100% to the procurement of a facility which will better meet the growing needs of the Church. Everyone's financial situation is different. If you wish to contribute your three year commitment in advance of a three year time-line, that is totally acceptable. If you wish to spread your giving amount contributions over a weekly/monthly period within a one, two, or three year time frame, then we welcome your gift. Find out more »The church council of Cornerstone Christian Church will meet October 13th, 2019 directly following Sunday Church services. The meeting will be held in the library of Dallas Christian College in the administration Building. The meeting usually convenes about noon and typically lasts one hour. All council members, deacons, and elders are asked to attend to ensure a quorum so that Church business may be discussed and decisions approved in accordance with the church bylaws. Church members are always welcome to attend the meeting.
Find out more »We invite all men to come to the Men's Breakfast this Saturday October 19, 2019 for a time of Christian fellowship and learning. Total event time is 1-1.5 hours. All members, visitors, and guests are welcome to attend. Breakfast starts at 8:30 am and ends approximately 9:15 am. After the breakfast, a short, topical bible faith program is shared. Typically, the event ends no later than 10:30 am. Come join the men of the Cornerstone! We meet in the banquet hall on the campus of Dallas Christian College. Find out more »Come join the community at the annual "Halloween in the Park"event to be held at the Farmers Branch Historical Park on Saturday, October 26, 2019. Hours: 5 pm - 10 pm. Cornerstone Christian Church will be sponsoring a family fun activity booth at the event. The event allows children and adults to dress in costumes and participate in a variety of fun games, food and music in an organized, safe, family friendly atmosphere. This is event is an opportunity for Cornerstone Christian Church to increase her visibility and to help reach those in need of a church home. Volunteers from the church are needed for preparation and staffing of the event. Shift help for 2 hours (or more) is needed. Wrapped candy for the event is also in need and can be brought to church service every Sunday from now until October 20th. Find out more »Come join the celebration of Cornerstone's 14th complete year as a Church in Jesus Christ! After church services, we will have a tremendous time of Thanksgiving to God and fellowship among all members and guests attending Sunday. The event is sponsored by the Church Council and protein meats, drinks, and plates are provided as well. Members of the church are asked to bring to the event, their best side dishes and/or deserts to share in a anniversary celebration with our brothers and sisters in Christ. Deacons will be available to help transport dishes and food early morning 8 am starting before Sunday school. Meet them, in your vehicle, at the North East sidewalk for convenient drop-off up until church services begin at 10:00 am. More details on this event will be updated as the date approaches. Every Sunday in November we are collecting your homemade cookies to be fresh vacuum packed and shipped throughout the world to our troops. It is our small attempt to show appreciation and bring a bit of "home" to the troops as they serve our country. Please bring your cookies to the Worship Center before service on any Sunday in November and we will take care of the rest! Find out more »Today, Sunday, November 10th, the Church will hold its annual congregational meeting directly following the Sunday worship service. Selection for new leadership positions will be held in accordance with the Church bylaws. Affirmation for the approval of a property broker designated by the church council will also be sought at this meeting. The Church Council will convene in the DCC library at the conclusion of the congregational meeting for its scheduled monthly meeting. All members in good standing are asked to be present for the congregational meeting.
