Past Events

The Firehouse Ministry provides meals to local first responders at their home firehouse.  Volunteers bring cooked entrees, sides and dessert from home for a meal put together for our local heroes.  Volunteers will gather at 5:00 pm Saturday December 7th, 2019 in parking lot of Dallas Christian College.  Available volunteers will deliver the meal to a predesignated firehouse in Farmers Branch.   The Ministry always welcomes those who wish to provide elements for the meal and/or for those who wish to help deliver the meal.  Please call the church for more information regarding event participation or volunteer opportunities.  Church office  972-241-8805.

The Womens Ministry is again sponsoring "Coats and Cans for Christmas". If you would like to participate, please bring non perishable food items and/or new or newly washed coats to donate. Food items include canned goods, peanut butter and packaged food such as Mac and cheese. All items will be delivered to Metrocrest Services which serves families in the Carrollton Farmers Branch area. Donations being accepted now through December 8th.  This week is the last chance! Come join us in fellowship at Cornerstone, in the DCC Cafeteria at 9:00 AM, for a quick, no cost brunch, to be followed by an exceptional service as we seek total church involvement on the mission field.  Beginning at 10 AM, this week's Sunday worship service will include group seating, in order to learn more about the missionaries that Cornerstone directly supports.  We will have a short informational presentation and then we will be praying for our missionaries throughout the community and the world.  We will partake in a communion service that we hope you will find both edifying and pleasing to the Lord. There will be no Sunday School offered on Sunday, December 8, 2019. Please join us and invite others to attend this special service this Sunday. The Cornerstone Christmas Cantata Service will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2019 @ 10:00 AM,  please join us for this wonderful Christmas program, Keeping a Christmas Secret, filled with music and worship as we celebrate the birth of Jesus, Who is the Christ,  the Son of the Living God! We will be offering communion this Sunday, but the order of service will be devoted to our annual cantata program. A program of uplifting hymns and music to enjoy as well as to participate in. This is a great church service to invite your family and friends to enjoy and be blessed. There will be no Sunday School on this Sunday, December 15, 2019.   ALSO..... You are also invited to the Candlelight Communion service on Christmas Eve, December 24th starting at  5pm – 6pm. The service will be one hour in length and communion will be offered during this time of worship and fellowship.   Strict times to start and end are in place to ensure you will be able to worship and still attend to your family, friends, and loved ones events. On Friday, December 20, 2019 at 8:00 am, Cornerstone will participate in a annual bag stuffing which benefits prisoners in the Texas Penal System.  Bags of goodies and fruits are packed by local churches for distribution during Christmas to those incarcerated.  This event is a true blessing for those participating as well as those receiving the gifts of the volunteers efforts.  We meet at Hamilton Park United Methodist Church at 8 am.   Workday typically lasts until 1 pm or until all bags are completed for distribution.  We will be helping stuff 8,000 bags.  You may come and go whenever you can.  Come join us for this fun and life changing event.  For more information, call the church office at 972-241-8805.
