As we enter the new year, Cornerstone Christian Church seeks to ordain its chosen leadership for the 2000 calendar year.  All church elders, deacons, council members, mission committee members, staff members and other holding key support positions are asked to attend this very special service ceremony.  Individuals will be asked to commit themselves to fulfill their duties to the selected positions in the coming year.  A wonderful statement of faith and service to be shared by the whole church membership.  Please mark your calendars to be in attendance for this uplifting service.  Ordination Sunday, January 12, 2020 will be during church service starting at 10 AM.

Girl Scout cookie sales representatives will be taking orders to provide cookies for the troops on January 19th and on January 26th, 2020.  Support our troops world wide and bring joy to these often forgotten heroes who sacrifice everyday to keep us safe and protected.  Don and Frankie Pugh will be the point people for this outreach.  Sales will be before and after church services on these two days.  for more information , please call the church office: 972-241-8805.

Do two good turns in one Sunday!  On January 26th, 2020, Cornerstone will be sponsoring our annual blood drive with Carter Care. Please sign-up on any Sunday, at church services, in January, or come in during the day of,  for the next available time to donate blood and give the gift of life to others.  The youth of the church will be providing a fundraising lunch after church service --proceeds will benefit the youth programs for the new year.  For more information, please contact the church office at 972-241-8805

Sunday, January 19, 2020 is Sanctity of Life Sunday.  As a church we participate in individual fund raising to help support Thrive Women's Clinics in the DFW area.  The clinic provides alternative options for those seeking abortion and early termination of pregnancy.  Through Christian counseling and health care support, Thrive was available to save 202 babies and assist over 50 individuals to find their way to Christ.  Come be a part of the Christian answer by learning more about Thrive and how you can help both financially, spiritually or through volunteering your skills to the clinics.  There are many opportunities for all to contribute, time, treasure and talent.   Bottles due back to the church on February 2.  See Priscilla Baitup for more details.  More information may be obtained from the church office:  972-241-8805.
